My Favorite Cafe, 101 S. Ann Arbor St., downtown Saline   734 944 2787   https:/twotwelvearts.org

Kathe Suddendorf is a multi-medium artist primarily working with watercolors, acrylics, and colored pencil. Her exhibit will include a sampling of each of these mediums. According to Kathe, one never stops learning. “It is the journey that makes us who weare. In constant flux, we are forever evolving. My art shows my love for the fusion ofbright colors. Most people think that shadows are gray. Their eyes do not see that allmatter relates to that which is around it...like a prism which reflects small shards ofsurrounding colors. Even in darkness color exists. In the dark recesses of our minds,we create color for our “sightless” dreams. If one can train one within the shadows, the awareness of the world around us will be forever altered.”

Kathe teaches colored pencil classes at 212 Arts Center in Saline, MI and also at the Pittsfield Senior Center in Ann Arbor, MI. Her Pittsfield Township home is her studio. You may view her website at: UniquelyYoursByKathe.synthasite.com

Summer Music Series— The Macpodz

South Ann Arbor Street   734.604.0051   http://www.themacpodz.com

Ann Arbor's jazz rock outfit, The Macpodz, throw some of the coolest parties around. With a little bit of everything in its musical grab bag, The Macpodz easily please music lovers, from fans of far out jazz to those rootsy jam band-style grooves. The inventor and namesake of its own brand of funky dance music, coined 'disco-bebop,'
The Macpodz pay homage to kinky musical concoctions like the groovy, unstructured big band instrumental works of the late, great Frank Zappa with psychedelic tinges of sunglasses-and-afro era Miles Davis. With two solid albums under its belt and a slew of foot-shuffling fans across the region, The Macpodz impress as only an open-minded band can, taking the core of genuine American music and tossing in tasteful touches of world music grooves and lots and lots of swinging horn licks that rouse and comfort all at once."
The 2010 Saline Summer Music Series is a Friday Night event starting at 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Should we experience inclement weather, the series will continue indoors at the Union School

Summer Music Series— Dan Rafferty Band

South Ann Arbor Street   734.604.0051   http://info@draffproductions.com

We are NOT a cheesy, corny band that has defined the term “wedding band” for so long. We are a young, dynamic, hip 8-piece group. We are in-touch with today’s styles, including hip-hop, R&B, top 40 and modern rock. We absolutely KICK out the funk and disco from the 70’s and 80’s. We JAM the Motown classics everyone loves so much. And we bring the “cool” back to big band and swing!

The Dan Rafferty Band, proudly calling Detroit home, offers a completely new way of providing live music entertainment for weddings, corporate functions, private parties, bars/clubs, casinos, bar & bat mitzvahs or any other type of event where dynamic live entertainment is needed. And while we’re based here in D-Town, we’ll travel wherever you need us, Chicago, Traverse City, Cleveland and Hawaii. Hey, were here for YOU, people! Come and hear us!

The 2010 Saline Summer Music Series is a Friday Night event starting at 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. Should we experience inclement weather, the series will continue indoors at the Union School
