Colony Park is another of the city’s many neighborhood parks. It is a six acre area constituted of two open fields, separated by a shallow elevation, and a playground area which features benches, swings, a play structure, and other playground equipment. There is plenty of space for soccer games, Frisbee, football, kite flying and any number of other outdoor activities.
The Rec on the Go program brings games and activities to the park every Tuesday each summer, June 15 through August 14th. Art Van Go, hosted by the Two Twelve Art Center for children five to fourteen, also meets at the park on Tuesdays, June 15th to August 6th.
